Transdermal Cream for Nausea and Vomiting

| lorazebam(Ativan) | 1 mg/0.5mL |
| diphenhydramine(Benadryl) | 12.5mg/0.5mL |
| haloperidol(Haldol) | 1 mg/0.5mL |
| metoclopramide(Reglan) | 20 mg/0.5mL |
Ingredients may be deleted or increased. Other ingredients which are beneficial include:
Compazine
Promethazine
The patient was instructed to apply 0.5 mL of gel to the wrist every 4 to 6 hours as needed. We have found that this combination of medications, when applied topically, is very effective in decreasing the patient's anxiety and nausea during the end-of-life process.
