Herbal Preparations

Medicinal Plants

Medicinal herbs have been used for at least 5,000 years.

Sumeria, a civilization estimated to have existed some 7,000 years ago, recorded the use of about 250 medicinal plants. The Chinese and Egyptians cultivated herbs for medicinal use.

Through the ages, famous personalities have written about medicinal plants: Pythagoras, Hippocrates, and Theophrastus, a pupil of Aristotle. In his expeditions to Africa, Alexander the Great brought back new herbal drugs.

Today, herbalism is making a big come back, as we rediscover our relationship with the planet earth and the healing treasures within.

If you use herbs as medicine, be sure to buy high quality products, to get the best results.
